LuLu & Trixie

November 4:

Today I am grateful for LuLu and Trixie, my feline angels. These two little stinkers stole my heart 10 years ago. They are sisters and I got them as kittens when we lived in Nevada. I adopted them from the Nevada Humane Society in Reno.

I work from home, so they grew up in my office. They are my office girls! LuLu likes to rip paper apart and Trixie loves to play fetch with crinkled up paper. I throw it for her, and yes, she returns it to me. Trixie tries to get the paper from the shredder, she wonders where it goes. She also attends to my printer and watches the paper as it comes out.

I tell people they are the most expensive & high maintenance humane society kitties ever! They are finicky, that is for sure. The food they ate yesterday might not be to their liking today – frustrating, to say the least!

Trixie broke one of her legs when she was little. She went through 3 casts! That was a trying time! Shortly after Trixie healed, LuLu went for a spin in the dryer! That was frightening, I felt so bad! Thankfully she was ok! We now can laugh about it!

In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this. – Terry Pratchett

Trixie is naughty and is usually getting into some kind of mischief. She likes to think she is the boss but is scared of her own shadow. Trixie is a sensitive kitty, and her feelings get hurt easily. She loves to snuggle and has my husband wrapped around her cute little paw.

LuLu is 100% pure diva, she is beautiful and she knows it! She has black fur and a lot of it! Her tail is very fluffy and she swishes it around like a feather boa. She does not like to be held but she does like to be close to me. LuLu can put Trixie in her place when need be.

They are not the best travelers but do go camping with us. LuLu & Trixie have lived in Nevada, Missouri, Iowa and now in Minnesota. They have put a few miles on!

My girls keep me company and make me smile every day. I love them!
